• Share successful techniques that work at home and school. It may not work in the other place, but is worth a try.
  • Sharing needs honesty. Was it a great day? Please say it. Was it a bad day? Please say it. Be honest.

The Hard Part:

  1. We must share our successes first. The teacher is new to our child. Giving him/her some tips, will help things move more smoothly.
  2. If we ask for honesty, we can’t fault the teacher for being honest! We asked for it. So, we need to take it appropriately.

Teacher: In general, extra TLC and even 5 minutes makes a difference.  Please note what is working at school. Don’t assume we tried it at home, you are an expert with this age level and we will appreciate hearing about anything that is working for our child!
